This heavy weight pullover is fleecy 100% cotton in pigment-dyed (faded) khaki or blue. Top it all off with a brass zip and new OWSA "skier" logo and you've got one warm, handsome piece of apparel! Available in very limited numbers at $ 65 (includes tax and shipping). OWSA NOW TAKES VISA The OWSA now accepts plastic! Since December we've been a Visa merchant, just to make things a little more convenient for our members and friends. Remember, accepting Visa costs us a few percent on every transaction, so if you want to use your card, buy a lot, OK? INSURANCE AVAILABLE TO CLUBS & SKI SCHOOLS Once again, OWSA-affiliated clubs and ski schools will be able to obtain low-cost liability insurance under the Water Ski Canada policy. This package offers $ 2 million liability coverage (note: not boat coverage). Only current OWSA member clubs/schools can access the program, and all club members must be individual OWSA members- otherwise the coverage may be invalid. Existing clubs/schools will receive an application from WSC; new ones should call Paul Jurbala at the OWSA office. BOND LAKE FALL RATING TOURNAMENT The final tournament of the '94 season was a two-round rating tournament held at Bond Lake on Sept. 10th. O'Brien and HO Sports donated prizes for the skiers who improved their ratings by the greatest amount. The slalom prize of a Synergy slalom ski went to Dave Hueson with a rating improvement of 11.5 buoys! The second place prize of a gift certificate for $250 from HO Sports was won by Tom Stacy with a slalom rating improvement of 5.25 buoys. The third prize of another $250 HO Sports gift certificate was won by Jimmy Townsend, who improved his trick rating by 30 points. Jimmy was the only skier in tricks or jumping who managed to improve his exisiting rating. Thank you to O'Brien and HO Sports for their support with the great prizes. It made the tournament a lot more motivating and interesting for all the participants. This tournament saw many new skiers realizing new personal bests. CORRECTIONS Anthony Boswell actually scored 25.1m in jumping at the Welland Season Closer, Aug. 27 & 28, 1994. Dan Anderson's Men 3 Slalom Record is ½ buoy at 10.75m (39 ½ off), but it's 54.5 total buoys and was set at the Midwest Slalom Challenge. Thanks for keeping us on our toes!
