Canada has been chosen to host the first ever Pan Am Barefoot Water ski Championships. July 9, 10, 11 , 1999. Cambridge, Ont.
The Pan-Am Barefoot Championships is an international competition with skiers from all the countries in North, Central and South America. Each country is invited to send 3 national teams to the event. A Junior National Team, under 17 yrs., a Senior National Team, over 35 yrs., and a Open National Team. The best barefooters in the Pan-Am region will compete in 3 elimination rounds in Slalom, Trick and Jumping. Starting Friday, July 9 and finishing up with the best 6 in the world competing for the Pan-America title on Sunday, July 11. The tournament will be held at River Bluffs park in Cambridge, Ontario. This beautiful site was host to the very successful 1998 Extreme National as well as 2 Canadian Nationals, 2 Canadian Opens and many more events. It features ample seating in stands for the spectators, plenty of lawn space for marquees and displays and lots of parking. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this awesome event.
